Modern Chromatography Methods

The miniaturization of analytical systems has been the convergence in the analytical chemistry. The solid phase microextraction (SPME - solid-phase microextraction), "in-tube" SPME, the sorptive extraction stir bar (SBSE - stir-bar sorptive extraction), most recently MEPS (microextraction packed sorbent) and DPX (solid phase microextraction in sorbent packed micropipette) are examples of sample preparation techniques miniaturized. These techniques when hyphenated analytical systems has resulted in rapid analysis, low solvent consumption, and lower exposure of analysts to biological fluids and toxic solvents and greater analytical accuracy.

Besides this, our group works with the development of modern chromatography methods as capillary liquid chromatography, multidimensional liquid chromatography and liquid chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry.
