Forensic Chemistry

Mass spectrometry is a powerful technique and it is commonly used to support forensic investigation specially because of the short analysis time. It has been used to inspection of foods adulteration, bank notes, fuels, documents, and drugs. LaCem laboratory makes use of ambient ionization techniques DESI, LTP and PSI for investigation of forensic cases.
